Local Plan for Buckinghamshire: Shaping the Future Together

Buckinghamshire Council is asking residents for their views on a new Local Plan for the county.

The Local Plan will have to accommodate a huge increased level of housing and other development to accommodate new national targets set by central government.

Delivering the high level of development now expected in the county will not be easy and the council is making it clear that there aren’t any simple answers, but we are determined to bring forward the best options in the face of such challenge to achieve the best possible outcomes for Buckinghamshire.

This exhibition sets out parts of the draft Local Plan that have been prepared to date, which includes:

A

Appendix 1 - Spatial Strategy

The Local Plan vision, key planning issues facing Buckinghamshire and associated objectives, spatial strategies for housing and employment, and ways to meet travelling communities accommodation needs.

B

Appendix 2 - Development Management Policies

The policies cover a wide range of sectors, including Housing, Economy, Natural Environment, Transport, Infrastructure, Built Environment, Social Environment, and Climate Change.
