I believe Policy H4 needs to be entirely rewritten as it does not align with the national policy on meeting all housing needs and does not meet the standards of the 2018 Local Plan. The plan's provisions for self-build and custom housing are inadequate and will fail to meet local residents' needs. Additionally, the district's infrastructure is insufficient to support these plans.

I believe Policy H4 requires a complete rewrite as it does not align with national housing policies or the council's 2018 Local Plan. It inadequately addresses self-build and custom housing, failing to meet local residents’ needs. Additionally, the district’s infrastructure is insufficient to support such plans.

Thanks, the Council agree that this needs changing.

We will introduce a specific policy for self build and custom housing addressing these points.

Policy H3 is flawed as it lacks provisions for custom house building on individual plots and does not address infrastructure needs. I believe the policy should be revised to clearly require developers to allocate plots for self-building, balancing this with the inevitable construction of standard houses. More careful consideration is needed to ensure the policy effectively encourages self-build opportunities and addresses infrastructure requirements.

Policy H4 should be completely rewritten. It currently does not take account of the national policy on meeting all housing needs and falls short of the standard set by the council's own Local Plan of 2018.

Self build and custom housing needs more detailed provision in this plan. Currently it is completely inadequate and will not meet the needs of local residents. The district's infrastructure will also not support these plans.
