It is with optimism that I respond to the news surrounding the upcoming Regulation 19 consultation for the Local Plan. Changing our plans in accordance with the latest NPPF updates is not just a bureaucratic exercise—it's essential for ensuring that our community’s needs are met in a sustainable manner. Particularly, I am concerned about the implications for the Green Belt under these updated guidelines. These areas provide much-needed relief from urban development and play a significant role in regulating local climate. Therefore, it is crucial that we voice our opinions during this consultation.
