Living in a fast-growing area, I've witnessed the strains of inadequate housing first-hand, which makes the NPPF's stipulation for authorities to plan for their objectively assessed needs extremely relevant. The strong emphasis on collaboration through the use of Statements of Common Ground reassures us that our local council is dedicated to not just our community’s needs but also those of neighbouring areas. I've seen how unplanned development can lead to chaos, resulting in overburdened services and fractured community identities. Therefore, it is essential that this proposal is adopted, as it encourages a coherent strategy involving all stakeholders. By fostering effective dialogue and agreement among councils, we can create a balanced and sustainable approach to development that ultimately benefits everyone.
