After reviewing the Local Plan, I am deeply concerned that it fails to adequately balance residential and commercial growth. Community livelihood often depends on the vibrancy of local businesses, which are currently at risk due to an imbalance in the planning focus. There seems to be a predilection towards residential development, which could stifle the growth of local shops and services. A balanced approach is essential to foster a thriving economy alongside residential expansion. Without this consideration, the character of the community may shift unfavourably, leaving residents without adequate amenities.
