It is with a heavy heart that I express my concerns regarding the Local Plan. While the intention of addressing development needs is commendable, the execution seems flawed. One major worry is the lack of integration of recreational and cultural aspects within this plan. Moreover, promoting a development agenda without a clear connection to public well-being negates the holistic spirit of our district. Will the proposed plan include measures to enhance cultural infrastructure and public spaces? Such elements are crucial to fostering a strong community identity. As we confront the challenges of the next two decades, our development policies must be underpinned by a commitment to improving overall community well-being, not solely driven by profit motives.
