The proposal for iterative studies could lead to a disjointed Local Plan, making it difficult for stakeholders to grasp crucial information. Stability is essential for community engagement, and constant revisions may deter input from residents.
The introduction of iterative evidence studies raises significant issues that I cannot overlook. While flexibility is often beneficial, in this case, it might lead to a fragmented Local Plan that lacks coherence. Stakeholders need a stable framework to understand how changes affect them and their community. If the evidence is subject to constant revision, how can we ascertain the reliability of the information guiding our planning decisions? I fear this approach may ultimately alienate community members who already struggle to navigate planning documentation. The lack of cemented policy could discourage effective feedback from knowledgeable citizens who wish to contribute.
