By solely focusing on physical constructs, there is a risk of creating a disjointed community where social infrastructure, such as schools, parks, and community centres, is neglected. The plan should not only concentrate on transport and utilities, as well-rounded development is key to vibrant community life. I strongly urge that the IDP be reframed to include a broader understanding of community needs that goes beyond just physical infrastructure but embraces social and cultural dimensions as well. This pivot is essential if we hope to build a cohesive and supported community.
