The objection emphasises the need for revised housing allocation strategies that do not favour business interests over families' need for homes. There is potential for sustainable business relocation to free up land for housing.

The council's approach to developing brownfield sites is rather disappointing to me. Many locals are facing extreme housing shortages, yet the current plan clings to the notion of protecting business premises which should not undermine the prioritisation of family homes. Though it is acknowledged that some employment land is crucial, the solution must not come at the cost of displacing families or denying them suitable housing. I believe there is ample opportunity to sustainably relocate smaller businesses to new areas whilst still developing the land for homes that meet our community needs. Having lived in this district for several years, I firmly believe a revision of the housing allocation strategy is imperative if we truly wish to support families in need of homes rather than perpetuating existing business uses at the expense of our local population's future.
