Call for Sites

We are asking interested parties to suggest sites they think would be suitable through the Call for Sites process. The Call for Sites is an essential piece of evidence to support the Local Plan process.

Information received will be also used to inform the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA), the Employment Land Availability Assessment and the Brownfield Land Register.

Please Note: Past site submissions made to the Council will need to be resubmitted through the current Call for Sites process. This is to ensure that Planning Officers have the latest site information to draw from during site assessments.

The submission of a site through the Call for Sites process only places the site before the Council for consideration as a potential site for future development. The inclusion of any site within this process does not indicate that it will be allocated or successfully obtain planning permission for development.

How we will use your information

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force, placing new restrictions on how organisations can hold and use your personal data and defining your rights with regard to that data. Any personal information disclosed to us will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

All candidate sites will be available for public inspection. Details of candidate sites will also be circulated to internal and external stakeholders to allow them to be assessed as part of the LDP process. No personal information will be included as part of this.

Details of all site promoters and their agents (where applicable) will be added to our database in order to enable us to contact you directly in respect of the process.
