Chapter 1 - Introduction

Welcome to the JDi example document. This document is intended to show best practice for documents on the JDi OpusConsult2 Consultation system. In the following chapters we will highlight areas where online documents can be modified from their paper/pdf counterparts to improve accessibility, responsiveness for small screens and utilise HTML features to give a better user experience.

This example document will include two different styles for displaying inserts and deletes for modifications documents in flattened rather than tabular format, examples of layout and data tables with alternative formatting for layout tables, methods for expanding text areas, examples of improving accessibility with complex images or infographics and some of the highlighting we can include in online documents for policy, question, vision and objective text within the document.  We will also provide an example of how the OC2 forms functionality can be used for a Call for Sites document.  Finally, this document shows examples of methods to enable very wide tables to be viewed online with ideas for viewing data tables on small screens.

For instructions on how to use the system and make comments, please see our help guide.
